Abstract

This study was carried out to clarify the optimal composition of macronutrients in the water culture solution of water dropwort (Oenanthe stolonifera DC.). The optimal macronutrient composition based on the tissue analysis of O. stolonifera grown tinder favorable condition was 3.5me/L of PO©þ-P, 3.5me/§¤ of K, 2me/§¤ of Ca and 1me/§¤ of Mg. The optimal macronutrient composition based on n/w method was 3me/§¤ of YOB-Y, 4me/L of K, 2me/§¤ of Ca and 1 me/§¤ of Mg. When KN03, Ca(NO©ý)©ü, NH©þH©üPO©þ and MgSO©þ were used as salt source, additional NH©þ-N had a negative effect on the stability of EC and pH of culture solution and the growth. Comparative experiment among 4 types of culture solution exhibited superior performance in the culture made by author in respect to the growth and stability of EC, pH and ionic balance. Data from tissue analysis suggested that 2me/§¤ of K should be supplemented to culture solution in summer. It is conclude3 that macronutrient composition of 1mmole/§¤ of Ca(NO©ý)©ü, 4mmole/§¤ of KNO©ý (6mmole/§¤ in Spring and summer), 1mmole/§¤ of NH©þH©üPO©þ and 0.5mmole/§¤ of MgSO©þ is appropriate to the water culture of O. stolonifera DC.
